LCC Orlando Core Beliefs:


  • We believe that God created the Heavens and the Earth.
  • We believe that God created man in His image.
  • We believe that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to take the burden of ALL our sin so that we can be righteous in His eyes and have ETERNITY with Him by simply believing in His saving grace, that Jesus died on the Cross with our sin, then DEFEATED SIN AND DEATH by rising from the grave on the third day.
  • We believe that it is by believing this truth in our hearts that we are saved and by nothing else so that no one can boast.
  • We believe that Jesus ascended into Heaven where He sits on the throne at the right hand of our Almighty God and that He has sent the Holy Spirit to indwell in those who believe in Him to teach us, help us, and be our Advocate.
  • We believe that He is coming again to usher us into eternity with Him.
  • We believe that in the essentials of our faith, there is unity; in the non-essentials, there is liberty; and in all matters, there is charity and love.   Amen.


The following outline presents an overview of our doctrinal beliefs:


THE WORD OF GOD:

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and having supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.  (Jn. 17:17; Rom. 15:4; 2Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:19-21)

THE TRINITY:

We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons; that they are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious functions in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.  (Matt. 28:19; Jn. 1:1-4; 1Jn. 5:7).

GOD THE FATHER:

We believe in God, the heavenly Father, an infinite personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love.  We believe that the He concerns Himself mercifully with the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayers, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.  (Jn. 3:16, 17; Jn. 4:24; Jn. 17:5).

JESUS CHRIST:

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten and eternal Son. We believe in His supernatural conception by the Holy Spirit, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miraculous signs and His authoritative teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth.
(Isa. 7:14; Jn. 1:14; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 1:2, 3; Jn. 1:7; 1Jn. 5:18).

THE HOLY SPIRIT:

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world regarding sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide.  (Jn. 14:26; Jn. 16:7-15; Rom. 8:14-17; Eph. 1:13-14).

THE CHURCH:

We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of regenerated persons which Christ is the head. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with a lost world.  (Mark 16:15,16; Act. 2:38-41; Eph. 2:19-22; Eph. 5:25-27).

REGENERATION:

We believe that, because of Adam’s deliberate act of disobedience to God’s commandment, all people are sinners by nature and by choice, and are, therefore, under God’s condemnation. Further, we believe that all people are by nature dead in their trespasses and sins, totally unable to draw near to God or to please Him by their own human efforts. As such, all people stand in need of regeneration by the Holy Spirit, which enables them to repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.  
(Jn. 1:12, 13; Jn. 3:3, 16, 17; Act. 20:21; Eph. 2:1-19; Tit. 3:5).

LAST THINGS:

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe that at physical death, the soul of the Christian believer enters into immediate, conscious fellowship with God, while the soul of the unbeliever enters into immediate, conscious separation from God’s benefits, without the possibility of remedy from his condition. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal happiness of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked.
